On Christmas morning Lisa was usually the first up, with Debbie, opening presents and crashing excitedly around the house waking up everyone else. In the photo it's Lisa's fourth or fifth Christmas (not sure which). In the background, that's "Dusty Bin". The bed behind Lisa is one half of the set of bunkbeds that Lisa and me shared. I don't know why they are separated in the picture. Probably one of us had fallen off the top bunk / jumped off it / pushed the other one off it, and Mum and Dad thought it would be wiser if the two beds were at ground level. In Lisa's left arm is "Nicky". Lisa thought Nicky was brilliant. She took him everywhere. But as much as she loved that doll, it didn't stop her from, after a few years, dying its hair every colour available (bright blue was a favourite) and cutting it until Nicky looked like a white baby Mr T.
